Economic Livelihood Fund
Approximately 2.4 billion people live on less than US$2 a day. Families stuck in the poverty trap have limited economic opportunities, often failing to grow enough crops to sell or toiling away as odd job labourers. Some parents leave their children behind in search of work. Some send their children to cities or across the border to earn money. You can enable families to stand on their own feet by equipping struggling members of our communities with skills in generating income. This includes animal husbandry, farming and repairs, providing micro-loans to set up small businesses and facilitating the formation of community savings groups.
