Philippines - Alternative learning for out-of-school youth

Many Filipinos do not have a chance to attend and finish basic education (Grade 1-6 and Year 1-4) due to reasons such as poverty, lack of access to schools and conflict in fragile areas. ALS or Alternative Learning System, is the Philippine government’s education program for out-of-school youth or individuals to access and complete basic education in a mode that fits their situations.
