This October, we'll be heading to Wazirpur, Bangladesh
Travel to Barishal with us and discover the wonderful impact Child Sponsorship has made on Wazirpur’s children and communities.
Visit a duck rearing livelihood intervention project, learn how children are voicing their rights against child marriage, visit a school library and hygiene corner for girls and observe a health nutrition and child feeding session. Spend half a day with your sponsored children and their families.

Trip Details
Destination: Wazirpur, Bangladesh
Date: 20 to 27 October 2024
Trip Fee: SGD 1,200 (Covers land transport, accommodation, domestic flights and meals)*
No of Pax: 15 Pax
*International return flights from Singapore to Dhaka are excluded from the trip fee.
Trip Itinerary will Include:
DAY 1
- Depart from Singapore to Dhaka
- Check into hotel
- Overnight stay in Dhaka
DAY 2
- Take a domestic flight from Dhaka to Barishal
- Check into hotel
- Security & Area Programme briefing
- Visit eco green school
DAY 3
- Visit a learning center for children and interact with them
- Visit Most Vulnerable Family
DAY 4
- Visit a school library and menstrual hygiene corner
- Observe a nutritional health session for mothers and children and take part in a feeding programme
DAY 5
- Visit a duck rearing project
- Participate in a child-led forum and learn more about child marriage prevention
DAY 6
- Lunch and games with sponsored children and their families
DAY 7
- Depart Barishal to Dhaka 5 hours by road
- Flight back to Singapore
DAY 8
- Arrive in Singapore
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Your trip slot is confirmed upon payment. Trip slots are limited to 15 pax only. If you would like to join us, please sign up and pay the trip fee before 30 April 2024.
Kindly note that international air flight tickets and travel insurance are excluded from the trip fee. Flight tickets, travel insurance and visa are to be purchased by the tripper individually.
There will be a compulsory pre-trip briefing on 13 May 2024 over ZOOM for all participants. More details will follow after your registration.
More information about visa application will be shared during the pre-trip briefing upon trip slot confirmation. The e-visa application fee is approximately USD30.
