With one person estimated to be dying of hunger every four seconds, 238 local and international non-governmental organisations are calling on leaders gathering at the 77th UN General Assembly to take decisive action to end the spiralling global hunger crisis.  

World Vision’s humanitarian response to increase 10-fold within two months to meet the rapidly growing needs of vulnerable children and adults displaced and affected by the conflict.

World Vision is deeply concerned at the reversal of the Taliban's commitment to allowing children, regardless of their gender to attend school. Education is a fundamental right for children, including adolescent girls, which must be upheld. World Vision is committed to promoting education for all children in Afghanistan and to this end appeal to those in authority not to deprive girls of their rights to education.
