Calling all young changemakers 13 years and above! World Vision Singapore's annual 30 Hour Famine returns on 18 and 19 May 2024, at Fort Canning Park. This year's transformative event, themed "Hunger Trials," is an immersive experience aimed to raise awareness about the challenging realities faced by vulnerable children battling hunger and poverty due to conflict and climate disasters.

Akili is a 6-year-old boy who lost both his parents in a flood. The school canteen is the only place where he finds comfort. He gets to eat his one meal for the day and also laugh and play with his friends. 

Sambath and her family had to face the storms of hunger and malnutrition alone. But everything changed with the help of World Vision.

Ei, a young girl in a village, witnesses the struggles of children facing hunger and a lack of education. Through support from World Vision, her family learns financial management, receives food aid, and rebuilds their lives. Ei dreams of becoming a doctor to help others in similar situations.

World Vision Singapore commits to raise a total of $230,000 to provide aid to vulnerable children and families experiencing acute food insecurity in these three countries: Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia and Myanmar. Targets to reach a total of more than 30,000 people including over 21,000 children in the three countries with the funds raised.
