Hundreds of thousands of children in Northern Syria are currently stranded outside of their homes and are becoming even more vulnerable to family separation, exploitation and abuse. Children are also at risk of hypothermia as they struggle to survive in freezing temperatures. Children will also be out of school as the buildings are still deemed unsafe.

World Vision Singapore has committed an initial S$100,000, with plans to announce a public fundraising appeal shortly, to support the immediate basic needs of the children and families impacted by the catastrophic earthquake that hit a wide area in south-eastern Türkiye and Northern Syria, killing more than 2,600 people and trapping many others.

More than 11 million people in East Africa are pushed to the edge of starvation. Of critical concern are 6.5 million vulnerable children suffering from malnutrition. World Vision Singapore will deploy giving machines at Great World and Parkway Parade from 1 November for a period of two months to rally for public donations, committing to raise $287,000 to support these communities with life-saving aid.
